Haha! I have figured me out. (to a point) If I promise to write something, something gets written. Ergo, if I make a promise every night to write something, I'll actually get somewhere with this story.

No, I haven't been avoiding livejournal. It so happens I have no internet at home and I have to wait till I can get to the library to post, which is usually days I'm not working...like today.
